Coriander Chicken
A simple and fragrant chicken dish where coriander is the star flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger and garlic and sauté for a minute.
- Add the spice powders: Coriander, Turmeric, and Chilli. Stir well for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate.
- Add the chicken pieces and coat them well with the masala.
- Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan. Mix well.
- Add salt and about 1 cup of water. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
